Alright you lovely BME people, so what is the deal with polysporin/neosporin? I’ve been told by my piercer and many others that it isn’t good to use on a piercing, (though there seem to be some people who say the opposite as well) and I’m wondering why that is. Thanks :)

Unfortunately not all piercers stay up to date with proper aftercare. A piercings is essentially a puncture wound. Ointments are not recommended for use on puncture wounds because they can easily clog it. Infact, most of them say right on the side of the tube, not for use with puncture wounds.
