I’d like to know the average gauge, if there are any anatomical reasons one might not be able to get a dolphin for,is it a known enough piercing to get it at most reputable piercing places? And if anything else you really think is worth stating I’d definitely take your advice.

A dolphin is a rare and fairly advanced genital piercing. Most piercers have no experience doing these. As far as gauge goes, that is dependent on the clients wants and anatomy. For most case I’d recommend an 8 ga though. If your trying to locate a piercer with experience in these good luck. You may be well advised to seek out someone who has a large gay client base, as the gay community generally embraces this piercing more than the straight.
