I know this is a really stupid question, but I’m planning on getting my nipples pierced in two weeks and I don’t really wanna ask my piercer this, but how long would you have to wait to participate in ‘torture play’ (the whole bdsm thing) because i don’t wanna let my partner down?
A long time. Basically, until the piercings are completely totally fully healed. which on average takes around a year. They’ll stop annoying you and being crusty way before this, but if you mess with them too much, they’ll flare up again.
However, if you’re careful, you can find ways of doing nipple torture without upsetting the existing piercing, by pinching/clamping/play piercing the tissue behind or in front of the piercing,…or i’m sure there’s other ways i’ve not thought of yet.
If you get your nipples pierced at as large a gauge your piercer feels will fit your anatomy, with properly fitting titanium barbells, ensure to soak them before and after any play, and make sure your partner has clean hands when he/she touches them, you’ll minimise the healing time, but realitically you should be prepared to leave your nipples alone for as long as it takes for them to heal fully. Nipple piercings aren’t the easiest thing out there to heal, and causing them additional trauma just isn’t a good idea. However, there’s plenty of other body areas you can focus on with your bdsm play while your nipples are healing…and its definitely worth the wait to be able to have a pair of well healed large gauge piercings to play with.

From my experience, don’t go for 14G. That’s what i had in origionally, and the right one tore, a lot. i stretched them up to 10G, and have had no problems since.
