I have recently stretched by APA from 12 GA to 6GA.

Now I am having lots of trouble to Pee. I am constantly wetting my pants and the urine flow has been much more slow than it used to be when I was pierced at 12 GA.

Other thing: my piercing has been smelling very bad.

Is this normal? What are can can I do for the smell and to pee standing? Will I have to sit every time I would urinate?

When a large piece of jewelry runs trans-urethrally through the glans of the penis, it can become an obstruction to the natural passage of urine and ejaculate. This explains the slowing down of urine flow. You may find with time that the urethra will stretch to accommodate the flow of bodily fluids around your piercing. To combat blockage you can have a piece of jewelry custom-made that has passages drilled through the post to allow smoother flow of bodily fluids through the urethra.

In time you will likely find that the entrance and exit holes of your piercing will leak when you urinate and/or ejaculate. This is a natural occurence with trans-urethral piercings as they fully heal and loosen up. This is generally where difficulty in urinating standing up comes into play. It can be difficult to aim three streams at a toilet, so when encountering a toilet it is usually easiest to just sit down to pee.

It may be tricky to aim 2 or 3 streams of urine at one small target, but it can be done with practice. Practice outside by carefully twisting your penis in different directions or even upside down and adjusting your aim. You should eventually find a semi-comfortable position in which you can mange all of the streams. Once you become comfortable with this, using a wall urinal and peeing outside should be much easier. If you master the technique and shake extremely well, you should not have an issue with leaking after you’re done.

As for having an unpleasant odour, it’s highly recommended that you clean your piercing daily. Especially given the location and size of this specific piercing. The shower or bath is a great place to do this. Remove your jewelry, thoroughly clean your glans and jewelry separately, then the odour issue should disappear. If your piercing is irritated or sore, gently but thoroughly clean it without removing the jewelry.

  1. I found that my apadravya bar was trapping a bit of urine when I pissed. I started using a small piece of toilet paper to absorb any lingering urine when I finish, & the odor is dramatically reduced.

  2. Russ, having holes drill through your Apadravya Barbell for urine passage is not a good idea in respect of how do you know where the hole-s are pointing and cleaning problems, a much better method is to turn down the barbell to a small size in the urethra location so as not to block the flow of urine and daily cleaning is much easier,I have used this method for years with a 4mm thick and 24mm long Apadravya with 8mm screw on Balls turned down to 2mm there is only one jet of urine and no spray and if I get a drip I leave the Barbell out for 3-4 hours for the piercing to close slightly and dripping is stopped Regards B
