Hey there!
I am going to get a VCH peircing this week and would firstly like to know , what are the advantages & disadvantages of having a curved barbell or a CBR?.
what is the most common type of jewlery used?
Also i understand everyone has a different pain thresshold, but on a scale of 1 to 10 how intense would you describe the pain?

I honestly feel they are one of the same, really, and alot depends on the preference of the piercer. The advantages of a barbell is that it is easier to swap and change the jewellery yourself. The disadvantage is that I find they do tend to move about a fair bit. I have worn both BCRs and barbells in mine (when I had it) and had no issues with either. I was originally pierced with a BCR and had no discomfort during the healing time whatsoever and based on my own positive experience, tend to initially fit BCRs unless asked otherwise.
As for the pain factor - it tends to be a short, sharp shock and then no discomfort at all once the jewellery is in situ. Because the pain is short-lived you do tend to get a nice endorphine high post-piercing. Have fun!

Thanks for the info.
Also what is the pros and cons of horizontal or vertical piercing?
I prefer the look of CBR, but will take some advice of the piercer on the day also.
pipa on May 18th, 2008 at 12:17 amI had a lbret piercing 6 weeks ago if the pain is similar, it will be fine as it wasn’t very painfull at all.
As for the endorphine high, sounds interseting!

The endorphine high was nothing less than amazing! Too bad it doesn’t come in pill form! I have a straight barbell in my VCH. On the pain scale from 1 to 10, I give it about a 6. I won’t lie and say it didn’t hurt. However, it was all of about 5 seconds worth, and then nothing but pleasure. I highly recommend it, but make sure you go to a place that is experienced in doing female genital piercing.
christyplur on June 3rd, 2008 at 12:10 amI have a straight barbell in mine and I *LOVE* it. Its so pretty and fun. Its still a fairly new piercing, and it’s healing great compared to my other 6 piercings. I wish nipples healed like this. I can’t wait til my bf can play with it.. he’s ecstatic! And so am I. I would highly recommend the VCH to anyone. It’s prolly my favorite piercing
