What jewlery is best for nipple piercings?

Hey BME!
I want to get both nipples pierced and have a question about Jewlery.
What is the most common type of jewlery used for this piercing?
Or does this depend on the type & size of your nipples?

There isn’t necessarily a “most common” type of jewelry for nipple piercings. However, my opinion, and that of most piercers I know, is that barbells are a better choice for initial jewelry than captive bead rings or circular barbells.
Straight barbells (some prefer curved) will sit much more flush with your body, reducing the amount of abuse from daily activity. In addition, because the barbells don’t hang below the nipple, there is less pressure/leverage from shirts and bars (if applicable). Reducing the pressure on a piercing makes it easier for your body to heal and reduces the likelihood of rejection or migration.
I will do nipple piercings with captive bead rings or circular barbell, but only after I’ve thoroughly explained the advantages of straight barbells to my client.

Thanks for the info.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is the pain of nipple piercing?, i understand everyones pain thresshold differs, but i am a little nervous about the pain side if it.

For some it’s a 1, for others it’s a 10. You really won’t know until you have it done because just like you said, everyone’s pain threshold differs. If you want the piercing(s) bad enough, the pain won’t matter - and for some, it’s a perk!

I do want the piercings bad, and i am prepared to go though pain of it all, and who knows maybe also some pleasure (lol)!.
I just hope they dont take to long to heal,and hope they dont give me too much trouble during that process.

Hi Guys,
Well i did it couldnt wait any longer, got both nipples pierced today!
The piercer measured my nipples and suggested i go with the barbells, and explained the pros and cons of the different types of jewlery options, after listening about the options i choose the barbells.

The second one hurt slightly more than the first nipple.
Since been pierced 11 hours ago not to much pain, every now and then they tingle and throb, this goes away then returns.
I just hope i dont have any major healing difficulties.
and for the pain factor out of ten, my personal opinion is it was a 3 out of ten!.
But it was so worth it!!
