I have just bought a bioplast bar for my lip piercing on the left of my lip and it was the same size as my stainless steel bar in lenght and thickness but because it has a flat surface because the ball is push fit i am not able to get it through my piercing hole, where as my ss bar make it easy because it has a pionty bit where the ball screws on.

i was wondering if you had any ideas on how i would be able to get it in.

You should make some AMAZING artwork out of it, or toss it to the curb and never again use that product… But that’s just my PERSONAL thoughts based on my own research, which I’ve posted about on AskBME.com a few months back, just search for Bioplast and you will find it.

How old is your piercing? Because if its healed well enough for you to put something BioPlast in (ie: 4-6 months) it should literally glide through the pathway…If anything you might need a bit of lubrication of some sort like a water based lube, spit even will help.

The only time I’ve ever seen ANY product not fit into a piercing is because its thicker jewelry then the pierced pathway…You might think its the same size but in relation its sometimes hard to tell the difference between a 1.2mm piece of jewelry and a 1.6mm, to the untrained eye.

If you’re having problems inserting the jewelry you could always just go to a piercing studio and see about having them put it in for you.

  1. He/She said it was a push-fit, so she’s trying to push the ball through the hole I think

  2. if someone is literally trying to shove the entire complete piece of jewelry attached through the piercing. Then sadly my hope for the human race evolving to a high status, is immensely wrong and in fact we are quickly falling into the opposite direction.

  3. no. while his/her grammar is atrocious, they arent putting the entire thing through the hole… theyre used to externally threaded with a “pointy” end, and therefore cant seem to figure out how to put the flat end of the new jewelry in (since its push-in and thus no threads sticking outside, just the flat bit, like the end of a pipe or something). thats what i got from it.

  5. Probably, I just know hottopic sells labret studs with microballs that you just stick the entire thing through. Like a nose bone for your lip.
