Online body jewelry sites

I’m in the market for some new plugs, and I usually get them from my local piercing shop, but they’re pretty expensive there. There are some sites online like hollywoodbodyjewelry.com that pay for ad space on Google that seem relatively legit, and they sell plugs wholesale for ridiculously cheap, like $1.50-$3 a piece. What do you think of these sites, are they safe to order from? Or should I stick with my local place. Thanks in advance, you guys rock.

Supporting your local shop is always your best bet. If it’s truly a good shop, they should be carrying good jewelry as well. Plus you have the support and help from your trusted piercer as well as helping to feed a “starving artist”. If you can’t find what you want there and have to order online try a respected site like bodyartforms.com that only carries high quality pieces. They have a good, well rounded selection but there are other legit places as well such as onetribe.nu for organics or glasswearstudios.com for glass. In any case do some research and realize if a price is super cheap, the jewelry usually is too.

  1. Thanks for answering my question. I’m a huge penny pincher, so whenever I lay down money for plugs I have to wince a little. But I guess it’s better to go to a place I trust in the long run. Thanks again.

These are a few good sites. Not always the cheapest, but remember, most the time you get what you pay for.

  3. steelnavel.com has a nice selection too. Both Steel Navel and BAF have very nice customer service.

  4. Bodyartforms.com is just about the only place I get my jewelry from now. I can’t praise them enough!! Their prices are very reasonable for lovely quality and the custom-order titanium pieces I’ve had from Industrial Strength are A+. I have been thrilled with everything I’ve bought there :) Plus I think investing a little more money into something that will last saves you in the long-run.

  5. I will always promote Body Art Forms, they are the most reputable multi company stocked site on the net, I have delt with them and them only for the past 3 years spent 1000 bucks and only ever had to return 1 piece. They are friendly, upfront and honest. Go there and you will not be sorry.
