I currently have both nostrils pierced at 20g and am wanting to get my septum pierced with a 16g CBR.
As there is limited space inside the nose would there be any jewellery combinations that would assist with healing this, and anything to particularly watch out for. I normally just wear nostril screws, but have looked at the little flat back labret styles available as well.
Thanks for any advice.
Flatbacks in nostril piercings can be a great alternative to having so much metal up your nose with a septum piercing.
Some people may not have the best anatomy to accommodate both nostril piercings and a septum piercing, but your piercer will be able to determine that for sure after a quick peek. As long as your nostril jewelry isn’t hooking on to your septum jewelry you should be just fine to keep all three.

I have all three, and flatback labrets are the best option for me. However, if you have itty-bitty nostrils, the backs of the jewelry (regardless of what you use) have a chance of getting caught on your septum. I have relatively short labret studs in my nostrils, but when my septum gets knocked around, they occasionally get tangled inside my nose. It’s not really painful or anything.
