A month or so back I got a PA and I probably didn’t wait long enough and caved to carnal temptations within a week. What my question is regards to seems to be from what I understand hypertrophic scarring, it seems to be pierced through the frenum and there is a build up of tissue around the piercing itself just below the glans where it exits, I’m assuming that it’s due to the piercing not being healed before having sex. I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to get rid of this tissue? The tie off method sprung to mind, any ideas?
Cheers in advance,
Munky
Before you start wrapping dental floss around your penis or trying some other crazy homemade concoction (no pun intended), I’m going to make one suggestion…wait.
it is not uncommon with PA piercings, and many other piercings, to have some excess tissue build-up during the initial healing. It’s also pretty common for that tissue build-up to go away once the piercing heals a bit more and toughens up, thereby not being as easily irritated from friction and movement.
A month is virtually no time at all, in terms of the piercing healing…you haven’t even gotten through the initial healing phase, let alone any type of longer-term healing and toughening. I would suggest leaving things be for the moment and just try to be a little nicer to the ol’ boy for the next little while. You don’t necessarily need to deny our carnal desires, just take it easy for a bit.

Right now I currently have a Prince Albert (PA) and I’m interested in getting an Apadravya, would I have to retire my PA or is there a way to keep both(have both piercings in)?
If your Prince Albert piercing is placed in the right location, you should be able to pierce the upper part of your glans (reverse PA) directly above your existing PA fistula, then put a straight barbell through both holes.
Voila! You now have an apadravya piercing!

My wife and I got Clone-A-Willy and Clone-A-Pussy kits for our anniversary this year. Basically, it is a kit that lets you make a mold of your genitals and then make copies from that. My wife and I are both pierced - she has a VCH and I have an apadravya. The FAQ from the company suggests removing all piercings before using the kit, but what’s the point of doing it without the piercings? Has anyone had any experience with these kits and know whether it is dangerous to use them with piercings in?
I have no experience with these sorts of things whatsoever, but I have to say, I’m DYING to read any experiences people will post in the comments. So bring it on, readers!
And what is the point of these kits, anyway? Is it to make personalised sex toys? Interesting sculptures or paperweights? What do you do with the resulting clone of your tackle?

Hey all,
So I’ve had an apadravya for ~18 months now - ~12 months at 10ga, then a stretch to 8ga for the last six months. Say I wanted to take the barbell out for an hour or two, how difficult would it be to put it back in after that time? Would I have any issue with the piercing starting to ‘close up’?
Put simply I’m afraid of not being able to get the barbell back in
Sorry for the newbie question!
Cheers,
Cam
The length of time it takes for a healed apadravya to tighten up without the jewelry in place will vary from person to person. You can try testing it in the bathtub by taking it out for a short period of time and then putting it back in. This will give you an idea of how long you can leave it out and still be able to replace it comfortably.
If you take your apadravya out before sex you may find that the piercing tightens up due to the increased circulation that comes with an erection. It can be handy to keep a taper and lube on hand for smoother replacement.
Also, be sure that your jewelry and/or taper is highly polished and free of nicks or scratches before removal and replacement.

I have recently stretched by APA from 12 GA to 6GA.
Now I am having lots of trouble to Pee. I am constantly wetting my pants and the urine flow has been much more slow than it used to be when I was pierced at 12 GA.
Other thing: my piercing has been smelling very bad.
Is this normal? What are can can I do for the smell and to pee standing? Will I have to sit every time I would urinate?
When a large piece of jewelry runs trans-urethrally through the glans of the penis, it can become an obstruction to the natural passage of urine and ejaculate. This explains the slowing down of urine flow. You may find with time that the urethra will stretch to accommodate the flow of bodily fluids around your piercing. To combat blockage you can have a piece of jewelry custom-made that has passages drilled through the post to allow smoother flow of bodily fluids through the urethra.
In time you will likely find that the entrance and exit holes of your piercing will leak when you urinate and/or ejaculate. This is a natural occurence with trans-urethral piercings as they fully heal and loosen up. This is generally where difficulty in urinating standing up comes into play. It can be difficult to aim three streams at a toilet, so when encountering a toilet it is usually easiest to just sit down to pee.
It may be tricky to aim 2 or 3 streams of urine at one small target, but it can be done with practice. Practice outside by carefully twisting your penis in different directions or even upside down and adjusting your aim. You should eventually find a semi-comfortable position in which you can mange all of the streams. Once you become comfortable with this, using a wall urinal and peeing outside should be much easier. If you master the technique and shake extremely well, you should not have an issue with leaking after you’re done.
As for having an unpleasant odour, it’s highly recommended that you clean your piercing daily. Especially given the location and size of this specific piercing. The shower or bath is a great place to do this. Remove your jewelry, thoroughly clean your glans and jewelry separately, then the odour issue should disappear. If your piercing is irritated or sore, gently but thoroughly clean it without removing the jewelry.

I got a RPA 2 months ago at 12 gauge, and I would like to know if I can take it out and the hole will close (I want it to) naturally, and if yes, how long will it take?
With a 12g reverse Prince Albert piercing at 2 months old, there is a good chance that the hole will tighten up almost back to normal if removed at this point. Keep in mind that it may take a bit of time for the closure to take place. After removal, you may find that the piercing will leak when you urinate. This can be a permanent after effect from this particular piercing.
Trans-urethral glans piercings tend to heal fairly quickly. Usually larger-sized piercings of this type will tighten up to some extent after removal, but will not completely close after they have been fully healed. In this instance the piercing would need to be surgically closed in order to be reversed.

It’s hard to find any accounts from people who’ve had PA’s longer than a few months…
I’ve had mine for over a year and it still hasn’t fully healed. I have daily lymph/crusties, occasionally tinted with blood if I’ve been overly aggressive with it, and the area remains somewhat tender, making any type of sexual activity uncomfortable.
I suspect that there’s too much irritation from the ring moving around preventing it from healing. Due to the position of the opening of my urethra, a majority of any type of ring hangs outside of me and is left to twist about alot. It doesn’t help that daily motion tends to force the ring through the piercing, dragging dried lymph with it… ouch!
I was initially 10ga, stretched to 6ga (perhaps I should backtrack a size?). I’ve tried various ring diameters. Smaller ones are more comfortable while soft, but too tight when erect. Bigger ones move around too much, causing the problems above.
The most comfortable jewelry I’ve worn is a curved barbell. There’s practically no twisting motion, and if I keep it short, hardly any length to pull crusties through. But since my urethral opening is about 1/2″, the one end will slip into me throughout the day and during sex, which isn’t all that nice. I suppose I could get a much larger bead on one end.
Any advice? I’m starting to think I should stick with a curved barbell to keep motion to a minimum, but do other people have this problem? It seems like most get by with a CBR and heal up within a few months.
Depending on the jewelry quality its not uncommon for the lymph/crusties to occur, especially with low quality metals (ie: 316L “Surgical” Stainless Steel, etc).
Honestly I have found that 12ga and 10ga PA sizes are often just too small for the average guy. Sure it would be the bare minimum a PA could be done at, but a much larger gauge size would definitely help. Personally I did mine at 6ga and tapered it immediately to a 4ga. I find the 4ga piece of jewelry fits comfortably and doesn’t look like a thin piece of metal going going into and out of my urethra, etc. I find the average sizes will vary from 6ga and even go up towards the 0ga sizes.
If a circular barbell is easier/comfortable for you to wear, then that should be worn. Have you tried using a Curved Barbell at all? As that might also be an option.
Ultimately its very hard to troubleshoot the problem via the internet, and by a simple quick message back an forth. I’d suggest going to a reputable studio with a reputable/experienced piercer who can sit you down and analyze the problems and discuss potential jewelry options best suited for you.
Also yes indeed a larger bead size to prevent it from being sucked into the urethra would be ideal.

I will be getting a PA done in a week or two, and from browsing image galleries etc. I have seen what looks like two different jewellery positions for the PA, and have replicated them (roughly) by playing with a spare bcr (see picture).
I by far prefer the first image, where the ring closely follows the curve of the glans, rather than hanging below the penis.
Is the difference in how the jewellery sits, due to: how far down the urethra it is pierced? The internal diameter of the jewellery? The angle of the pierced hole? Or is it another factor?
Thanks!
It may be possible to get PA jewelry to fit the way it does in the first picture, but you likely won’t be able to do that until the piercing is healed. While the first picture may appeal to you aesthetically, wearing jewelry that fits that way would likely prove to be uncomfortable with a healing piercing. The pressure that would be put on the piercing would be uncomfortable as well as irritating to a new piercing.
Placing the jewelry further down the shaft will not likely result in the fit you want…in fact, it would probably have the opposite affect. Because a ring is the same size in all direction, and you would need a bigger ring to reach further down the shaft, the ring would then hang more on the bottom side because of it’s size.
The varying sizes and shapes of different people’s anatomy affect what will and won’t work for each person. It may simply not be possible for you to get a fit exactly like you see in the picture. And if it is, it’s something you’ll probably only be able to achieve once the piercing has healed and toughened up a bit.

I own a few piercings downtown already. I have a PA and an Ampallang. I have been looking into either extending the PA into an apadravya, or more interesting to me, getting a shaft apadravya. I have found alot of stories about self done shaft apdravyas. Ive heard fake stories of possible death and more credible stories of the skin wouldn’t stretch afterwards, but what are the cold hard facts? Is they a signifiucant risk of erections not fully being attained because of the shaft skin not being able to stretch? Is it really uncomfortable in the long run? Is it a bad idea, and may I ask why? Thank you very much for reading this.
Lucky for you I personally learned this lesson for you. I scalpelled a 00ga shaft ap on myself. It healed fine, but it made erections painful and difficult. I have removed it, and most everything has returned to normal, minus some scarring and the fact my preseminal fluid production has greatly reduced.
I imagine in a much smaller gauge these issues would be lessened, however I still advise against this piercing for men wishing to retain full sexual function of there penis, the risk for short term and/or long term damage just outweighs the benefits in my opinion. A better option may be genital beads implanted in the same location.

I’m looking to get a PA at a large initial gauge (probably a 2), and I’m curious if there are any tried-and-true techniques for peeing standing up with a large hole, or if it’s just a trial by fire thing.
I definitely want the piercing, don’t get me wrong, but if I were able to have it while retaining the ability to stand, that would be nice.
Thanks!
Just lean into the urinal a bit further, or twist your penis in your hand so the bottom/frenum/jewellery side is on top - I have it on good authority that this doesn’t hurt, although it certainly seems like it would be painful to me, a female, ha ha! If the jewellery is on top, there’s nothing for the urine to “run down” from the urethra, which is what causes the splattering. Wearing jewellery like a curved/banana barbell rather than a ring or circular barbell can help with that, too.
And on behalf of everyone else who uses the toilet after you, if you make a mess anyway, please clean it up.
Comments, large-gauge PA wearers?
