Hi,
I’m an artist, an for one of my pieces I would like to do play piercings in my arms and hang a small object (weighting only a few ounces at most) from it. I understand issues with bleeding and possible scaring. I don’t have any problems with that. I was just wondering if hanging something would make doing the piercing to high risk. I wouldn’t have it in for more then an hour.
Thank you for any advice.
It shouldn’t be a problem at all, as long as you can clean the objects before hand. It sounds like you already know about the risks and stuff with play piercings, so I won’t go into that.
The only thing that I would say is make sure they are secure, the last thing you want is to freak out if one of them slips off and possibly bumps/tears another one.
It’s actually a very ancient rights of passage to hang bells and small weights from play piercings.
Make sure that everything is clean and anything entering your body is sterilized correctly, wear gloves (as well as anyone helping) and be safe. I would suggest to ask around some local body piercing studios for a piercer to at least be on site to assist if you need it. They will also have availability to good needles for play piercing, an autoclave, gloves and a sharps container to use (for a small fee, naturally).

Is it unwise to do play piercing on a back of a guy with a lot of body hair?
Not unwise, but a good pair of clippers wouldn’t hurt. you don’t have to shave it all off but a trim would make it easier for everyone involved.

A long time ago (in a galaxy far away) I read a story where one partner binds, blindfolds and then cuts to shreds the other partner. However once the blindfold was removed it was merely a credit card and some warm water, a royal mindfuck. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Can anyone direct me to where I read this? I want to reread it to get the setup correct (as a lead in to actual blood play.)
Thanks for any help.
I have no idea where you read it but mind games and sensory play are all about imagination. It’s all about the build-up, the setting of the scene and creating an atmosphere of apprehension. For example, clothes pegs can be used instead of needles providing you take the time and trouble to pay attention to the details. One of my favourite tricks when play piercing is after unsheathing half the needles and rather audibly dropping the plastic sheaths on the trolley, asking the piercee if they have been counting how many needles I am going to use. They then think I might be messing with their head by picking up and re-dropping the plastic tubes. It’s all fun, fun fun! Bear in mind, though, when you indulge in play of this sort, you must ensure your play partners mental well being as well as physical. My advice? Have a search on the internet and find some BDSM (bondage, discipline, sado-masochism) forums. Join up. There’s a whole wealth of information out there about how to play safely, sanely and consensually.

hey =]
my question: how deep can you play pierce?
i’ve done it on my foot, hand, between my knuckles and on my finger where the skin is really stretchy, but can you do it on places (like the arm) where it goes through flesh, not just skin?
thankx
You can pretty much play pierce as deep as you like, it probably wont kill you. Performers such as Zamora the torture king routinely shove skewers through muscle tissue. In the Phillipines religious devotees crucify themselves through the hands. So to answer your question know your anatomy and know your physical limitations. Those are the only two things that determine how deep and where you can safely play pierce.
