… definitely makes me happy. It’s very neat and I like the layout.
But here’s my question: is BME back now that things are changing or is stuff still being fixed one day at a time? Thank you guys for being so patient through the whole thing
–Bathory
Well Bathory, BME never left, it’s really that simple. The new QOD has been in development for months, all staff members have been silently playing with the initial version since September and we even had a few beta testers. That said, the old QOD was a legacy system that simply had to be replaced. The internet grows, evolves, and we have to be adaptable for the future.

Welcome QOD viewers! AskBME is the new wordpress-based QOD system for BMEzine, complete with all the things you’ve come to love about the old QOD, but now with everything you love about wordpress - comments, categories, stats, and more!
Go ahead and register for an account to reserve your favourite internet alias now, before someone else does. Then you’re free to submit questions to AskBME, and fully prepared for those follow-up comments and questions.
Some of our staff members are still in the process of getting their accounts and personal information together, but for now we’ve got two great and talented panel members awaiting your questions on body modification.
Also, we’re looking for some modblog-esque images for our header image. Got some inspiration and a digital camera? Send your photos to submissions@bmezine.com with the subject “AskBME Header Image”.

is this even possible? or safe? what are the ramifications of stretching such an important structural part of your face?
Possible, yes. In fact it has been confirmed those pictures are genuine. Safe, that’s debatable. There is however no denying the impact this would have on your facial structure as well as daily task. Hopefully, this guy will be found and perhaps add some insight into this extreme piercing.

I want to stretch my lobes to one inch, would it be better to get them punched/scalpeled at 0g and stretch from there, or to go from an earing and stretch down?
My advice pierce with a 4 gauge needle and immediately taper to 2 gauge. This method gives fairly good instant gratification, but doesn’t remove any tissue which you will want later for stretching purposes.

Im interested in a tattoo, also incorporating scarification within the tattoo. Would you/PBA personally be able to/willing to accommodate a request such as this?
Sure, we would be happy to help you out. Just give me a call at the shop 603-889-5788 or e-mail me at ryanpba@hotmail.com

So is it safe to assume that if a 7/16″ plug isn’t visible when I speak, a split tongue wouldn’t be either?
I’d say that is a fairly safe assumption.

In regards to the recent online problems with Shannon…it’s those people involved that have been posting and deleting somewhat cryptic and contrary information and made the problem more public. I don’t think the staff of QOD should be mad that we’ve read it. Also, what kind of ‘community’ are we if we take the stance that’s it’s not our problem, just ignore it and we’ll all be fine. Not a very good one I guess…
OK, now I’m a liar, because I am going to answer this, but this is it, seriously! No one’s “mad” that anyone’s read it, it IS annoying that people don’t seem content to leave well enough alone and stay out of other people’s business, and then refuse to take the hint to drop it when they attempt to propagate more drama by discussing it on every single forum with every single person they can find online. The allegations going back and forth don’t, at the end of the day, affect anyone other than the people involved, which is why it’s not anyone else’s concern or problem.
As for stating that it’s the community’s right to know every single detail of any ill-advised-and-since-deleted personal posts by the owners (yes, multiple) or employees of BME or their personal lives… uh, no, it’s really not your business, and trying to justify nosiness as some kind of noble concern for the welfare of the community is both laughable and in very poor taste. If your neighbours have a noisy row, do you think it’s the right of everyone in the neighbourhood to troop through their front door the next day and demand an explanation in full and glorious detail? Don’t bother answering that question, but if you DO think so, geez, I’m glad I don’t live in your neighbourhood!
So, long story short, as interesting as this all must be to those with boring lives, my advice is to drop it and find something else to do. You’re NOT helping anyone involved by constantly nattering on about it, and the vast majority of the people reading this don’t know any of the interested parties well enough personally to take one side or another - myself included! It’s a bit more complicated than that. So, go outside and fly a kite or something.

Could someone explain what the heck is going on with this internet drama thing? Did Shannons account get hacked, or is the server just really messed up right now?
The server’s working fine, the site appears to be fine. If you have an IAM account, you can access it just like always and none of the site functionality has been changed, nor do I imagine that it will be changed any time soon. As for the drama that has been posted and deleted, etc etc, it’s none of our business. If it involved you, you wouldn’t have to ask about it.
I’m not humouring any more queries on the subject. People, stop worrying about other people’s dirty laundry and just enjoy the site as you usually do, ok?

What kind of lube should I use for home stretching? I know it’s got to be sterile, but water based, oil based or what? And do you know where I can get some?
Back when I had piercings, I stretched using ASTROGLIDE. Its always handy to have around.
