Scalpelling may be an option. Consult with an experienced practitioner.

I’ve started a little research on suspension, but nothing i’ve found is telling me how long an average suspension will last???
I’ve seen 2 seconds to 2+ hours.

i’ve had two close friends who’ve had tremendous success with Bio Oil (Bio-Oil.com). One of them had burns on her arms that have since faded to almost nothingness.
oh and also, my grandmother used to say the back of a banana peel (the inside) is good for burns. i kid you not!
I never heard of the banana peel thing! My grandma used to spray Windex on our mosquito bites, and you know, it really does stop them from itching. Grandmas are full of weird ideas.

Has anyone used silicone sheets/gel, Mederma or other scar-treatments with any success?
I know that vitamin E rubs are regularly recommended to QOD readers to help reduce the appearance of scars. I was just curious about some of the other products I’ve heard about.
I’ve got some rather nasty 2nd degree burns on my arm I’d like to fade away…
I’ve used Mederma personally with fantastic results, the key seems to be patience - it does take months to get good results. Lots of people have used the silicone sheets, as well, I have a friend who was in a terrible car accident and had massive scars all over her chest and neck, she used the silicone sheets and the scars are almost invisible now. Maybe you should consult with a doctor about scar reduction and go from there? Good luck!

Heyo.
A friend and I got pierced on the same day a month or so ago at a shop that I regard as being pretty damned good, sterility-wise. She’s apparently in the emergency room as I write this, with a staph infection in her piercing that’s turned to septicemia as well. Now, considering the length of time since the piercings, could this have been caused by the shop, or is the incubation period too short for that? Should I go in and get cultured to be safe, or just wait and see if anything comes up?
It’s hard to say, there are several strands of staph that lie dormant on the body, they do not become problematic until some trauma causes them to be…such as piercing. I haven’t ever seen this first hand from piercing, but I have seen a few cases on tattoos.
I’d play it safe, get the cultures done. Then educate yourself as much as possible on cross contamination and universal precautions, you may find the shops not as clean as you thought once you know what to look for. Otherwise, it could just be a fluke, no fault of the shops at all and like I mentioned before just a dormant case of Staph that became traumatized.

Hi,
I have recently had a VCH done last Sunday. Now I have pretty high pain threshold, never wince when tattoo’ed, had five children, nipples and tongue pierced and none of that really phased me.
However the pierce took several seconds, felt as tho my flesh was being ripped open and for the first time ever I screamed the place down, it was a truly agonising pain.
Since then there hasn’t really been any pleasure and at points the pierce has felt downright uncomfortable. During my salt soak this evening in the bath and felt the piercing for the first time properly and suddenly has this awful dread that she had pierced my clit. I then got my husband to check who said actually yes, the clit was pierced. With the aid of a mirror I checked myself, the piercer has entered at the hood, but then pierced the entire length of my clitoris, the end of the bar comming out at the end of the clit.
I am so upset as well as incredibly worried. I have had no clitoral sensations since piercing - could my clit be damaged for good? Will it ever feel the same way again? Tomorrow I am going to another piercer to get their opinion on what has happened as well as going to see my doctor.
If anyone could give me any advice I would realy appreciate it.
A hood piercing is such a simple, simple piercing to perform and yet we still hear stories like this every once in a while.
Most likely if you removed the piercing it would heal back and sensation would come back as well. HOWEVER, if my sexual sensation was at risk, I would take NO RISK and would seek advice from an OBGYN. Some suturing may be needed or possibly a more serious procedure. In any case good luck.
