Re: Question about ear pointing mod

I don't think that the wrapping would work out, as it would be nearly impossible to get 2 identical ears.. As far as I know, Sampaa is a great artist and probably your best choice considering the place where you live, and the place where he mostly works.

Re: Yeast infection

So the yeasty mess (if gets into the piercing/punctured area) it can't get into the blood stream or make my vagina turn green or take away feeling? Needless to say I'm worried.(my vch is healed, got it about 3 months ago) But to verify, yeast won't affect it? (God, I make this sound like I have yeast as a pet, hey, shit happens)

Re: Cheek piercings gone wrong!

ok so I got mine done 2 weeks ago, no problems everything was going smoothly except for the lil bit of soreness, well come a couple of days ago I got the same lil freaken bumps on both sides of my cheeks, but I have noting noticeable on the outside except for the lil bit of oozing, my question is for those of you that drain them how do you do it, is it from the inside out or the outside?? sorry to sound so dumb but I'm just not understanding, shit my piercer said to just make sure I rinse with mouthwash, and kept the area clean... and what do you soak the inside or outside, im just confused about the whole thing... I want to keep them of course like everyone else, and am not going thru all this BS just to take them out a couple weeks later,if anyone has any suggestions please dont hestitate... alot of this info here helped and thanks

Re: From PA to Dolphin

Hi Sean - you seem to be most knowledgeable about Dolphins and I have a question about going from PA to Dolphin, too. Due to this "angling" issue you correctly point out (male micro-anatomy) when I got my second piercing lower down what happened was the new hole stretched only toward the tip while the old hole stretched back toward my body - so I got a very thin isthmus of tissue left to support the piercing by the time I got up to 4/2 gauge. (The holes, new one pierced at 10 ga, started out ~5/8" apart and what was left after stretching up is ~1/4", so I stopped, of course - 2 ga wouldn't be supported on that little skin!) I still want the Dolphin (peeing with a PA is such a drag!) and realize it will have to be well down the shaft to accommodate the way my body stretches this skin. Issue is, I am the equivalent of uncut (restored foreskin) and so now this second piercing will have to be well within loose outer skin and not within inner foreskin (I'm sure you understand these terms but please ask if not.) And this presents what seems to me an issue with loose skin still being able to ride up toward the tip in normal mobility - or will it always now be 'nailed back' on the shaft and foreskin not able to ride up and down past the point of lower piercing...? If you want info on restoring foreskin, pls ask. The technique stretches both inner and outer foreskin, but mostly outer (it stretches proportionally.) I can now easily extend my restored foreskin well past the tip when erect (by manually stretching it, of course) so I made lots of new skin on this project! (Took a few years.) What do you recommend or suggest will be the outcome for this situation? Thanks a lot - Ron

Re: Piercing Inverted Nipples

i have inverted nipples and i bought the nipplette thing online about a year ago. i use probably like once (or twice) a week. it really does help event though it kinda hurts. anyway no my nipples come out every now and then. When my boyfriend sucks on them they tend to come out. they also come out like on random occassions, like when they feel like it they'll come out. i also want to get them pierced but i'm scared that they won't come out right.

Re: Cheek piercings gone wrong!

oh! forgot to add, the first week after i took them out i had dimples but they looked weird, and after that a tiny redness just like a pimple scar, and now its 100% unnoticeable, people are shocked to hear i once had them pierced. so be optimistic!

Ashley (1 week ago)

I had my cheeks pierced last year, the initial piercing like everyone says, very minimal. the swelling was a pain, hard to eat, but i used antibacterial soap for the outside and sea salt rinse for the inside. i had absolutely no problems, i think do to having long barbells. i took them out at three months because of my job, not because of any problems. i think as long as you are careful not to bite on them be conscious of what you're eating and drinking, DO NOT TOUCH THEM or play with them. and keep the long bars in until they are absolutely healed even if thats 6 months. having long bars looks better than pussy lumpy crusty cheeks.

Re: dermal punching ear lobes?

usually you don't punch lobes i would lean more towards scalpelling if your in a hurry but its always better to stretch by the books take your time and be smart about it go to somone who has some sense and isnt so quick to pull out a punch or scaplel but if you are wanting to get some scalpelling done don't be afraid to ask questions ask to see a portfolio and never be scared to ask how many they have done in the past just be smart about it

Re: Nose Piercing Scab and Bump

I realize this is rather an old post now, but I have the exact same problem as the poster in almost every detail, except that I've been using Provon. Do you think it would be advisable to return to the piercing parlor and have the ring switched out for a stud? Or to remove the ring, allow the area to heal, and try again in a few months with a stud? I love this piercing, but the bleeding bump is pretty horrifying.

If anyone who has experienced them can please answer them: If i ever change my mind & want 2 take my cheek peircing out, will the hole close? What kind of scarring? ..If youve done this.. can u please send me a picture of how it looks.. Does anybody know where & what stores carry that soap 'Provon'? And if yall will please send me pics of how the lump looks Thank you. Here is my e-mail, PLEASE give me answers & pics natalie_santacruz_405@yahoo.com

Natalie (1 week, 5 days ago)

Hey; I had my cheeks pierced on saturday so about 5 days now. I do have this "lump" you all speak of but I just assumed it was due to swelling. I have lymph secretion, which I was told is normal, a little redness on the outside and a little discomfort but nothing crazy. Everyday, they feel a little better and back to normal. I can eat and drink as usual, when I smile, I feel odd due to some slight swelling. I was told 6-8 weeks is the average healing time though it takes a few months for some people. I have had several piercings, most of them oral. I currently have snake bites, my medusa and my tongue. I did all 3 lip rings myself about 5 years ago and they healed great; I am not going to stress out about this "lump" issue. I go to see my piercer in about 5 or so more weeks to see if I am ready for new jewelry and if I feel the need to I will ask him about all this. I think alot of you are over reacting, but some of you sound like something horrible is going on! I did have alot of concerns from researching this piercing before I got it done so I asked every one of them to Alley Cat (my piercer) and he answered each one and explained all of them to my and why certain bad things happen. I have using antibacterial soap to clean the outside 2-3 times a day, spraying H2Ocean spray after I clean them and using regular, un-flavored mouthwash after eating and drinking. My "lumps" are getting smaller, I can tell a difference from when I first got them done to now, and it has only been 5 days.... I think they will heal fine, like I said, I have had oral piercings before (and other random ones throughout my body) and amd confident I know how to care for them. I know this probably didn't help, but there is my story.

Amanda (1 week, 6 days ago)

i just got my cheeks re pierced about a week ago ive had them before for about a year and i took them about that hard lump that u feel around the ring under ur skin will go away the only risk is u may develop a syst ontop of the skin around the ball of the ring which was why i took mines out the first time but it does go away mines went away within a week and also the scars it leaves looks just like dimples n decreases over time

Re: Bioplast

Thank you for this article. I've had my nose pierced so many times now because I always have to take it out for work and it never gets a chance to properly heal, so I've been considering Bioplast for a while. My piercer was against it, and I wanted to find out why. This explains it. I saw a few comments back that you mentioned a Quartz Retainer. Is Quartz a brand name or the material used?

Re: Skin diver : the new dermal anchor

I've had two divers done below my collarbone and I love them so far. I have a history of rejected surface piercings, but my piercers believes these reject less that even microdermals. I quite prefer that they are all one piece (no threading or changing tops) and available with all kinds of rad tops (i have two different sized stars!). Anyway, I've only had these for a week, so I'll report back when they've healed up. I have spoken to a girl who's had hers in her wrist and ankle for about 10 months, so I am hopeful!

Re: PTFE tape stretching

I have the same problem, the tape is very water resistant, it beads off water like crazy. Since this happens the oils and from your ear that in normally there stays on other jewlery. With the tape it is gone and very dry. I would use a small amout of neosporin, since it is thick it will stay with it for some time.

Re: How can i talk my parents into letting me stretch my ears?

If your ears aren't pierced yet and she's willing to have them pierced, why not just got to a tattoo shop and having them pierced with an 8g or so needle? That size isn't that large and you can wear regular earrings if she really wants you to. You can also get plugs and such that don't look too bad at that size. You can even get eyelets or tunnels so you can see through your ear.

Re: Apprenticeships

I've work at a tattoo shop since I was able to legally pierce. From 18 to now, which is 24. I got my apprenticeship for free. My boss is great, everyone I work with is awesome plus I have a say so over all other piercers. They work when I want them to work. I even have a tattoo apprenticeship whenever I want...why? Well, here it is..I know its confusing for those who don't get it as easy. I was worth the investment. I was there 6-7 days a week for free during apprenticeships. Cleaning tubes, cleaning the shop..blah blah blah. What I am trying to say to all those trying. Especially girls(since being one and all) 1. Don't be dramatic and bring your home issues into the shop. No one cares...seriously. Its a tattoo shop. We're all there to make art and money. SO DON'T BRING YOUR DRAMA. Especially if your a youngen, DONT BRING YOUR DRAMA AT ALL..waist of time..happens too often. I'm tired of it and won't take on anymore female apprentices due to it. And guys that bring same issue..don't want it. 2. I've seen most girls fuck up their own apprenticeships due to their own whoreness..thanks girls...impressing us all over time. You ownly leave the dedidcated ones with a harder chance due to your skankness. CHEERS..heres to you sluts...lol. Keep up the good work. 3. guys rule the tattoo world still for the most part. So its still going to be harder for the more talented girls especially when there are the less quallified ones giving blow jobs in the back. Luckily..I've never been in that spot, but been in the opposite. Pobably why I come so highly recommended by female and male tattooist and piercers alike. I don't bs...its not a game..not a who's cooler contest or anything like that. You get the job and keep the job because you really have that drive and want it. Always worked for me. I thought my boss just wanted me around for a cute face as well, but then I realized i brought in more people than the main tattooist. Pretty much comes down to attitude and professionalism. They don't want you around for a reason if so, I've been around plenty of people fired over the yrs at our shop. And if you cant find a job elsewhere..probably not worth hiring. Just don't espect to just walk in with a portfolio and get a job unless your work is worth hiring. 4. You put your shop at risk if you mess up. Its not a joke. If they don't think its good enough for them, they will let you know. Straight up..You should know(to the person who posted comment)after working at a shop even for a week. You can get a vibe off people. You either pull your weight or not. I've had people fired due to them not doing their job right. Its supposed to be a professional and sterilized inviroment, you either keep up with the standards and up to par or you don't and mess up. Sucks your boss hit on you. Sounds to me like you went to an unprofessional shop. And if thats the issue and if your as talented as you think to get a job elsewhere then go for it because the place you were at before is a joke. You need to branch out and go as far as you can. There are a bunch of shops out there willing to hire talented girls dedicated to their art without them having to deal with their gross old bosses from the earlier times hitting on them. Gross. Where some sterile gloves you old dirty pricks your transfering deseases.

Re: Tongue Split Question

As someone who until recently was underage for piercings, I can understand to a certain degree the whole "can't wait" feeling, however, maturity is the ability to reason with this feeling. There are also just certain procedures you SHOULD wait for, ones that tend to be considered "permanent", things such as micro-dermals or a tongue split, even tattoos. Now, I have asked my piercer about this because he has had his tongue split twice, he said the way that will normally stay healed split best is the scalpel method, he tried the binding method and he stopped because it was so painful and barely had a result, which then healed up mostly anyways. Another piercer from the same shop also tried the binding method and also gave up because of the pain. Both of these people are professionals and even they would NEVER self scalpel them selves. So really, think, if two piercing professionals who are VERY well endowed with their fair share of holes in all places you can imagine couldn't bind, why do you really think you can? Because you're so hardcore? Let me tell you something, I self pierced once, my snakebites, and while I had taken the time to study with piercers and I made sure everything was sterile through autoclave, not all teens think this way and that is why so many end up with infections, then in the hospital and then as the national example as to why body mods are bad. Do you really want to ruin it for everyone else when you mess it up? Most piercers I know won't even self pierce their own tongue. So really, grow up.

Re: Wrist Piercing???

i have had my wrists pierced for three months now, and i love them. using a non iodized salt soak everyday really speeds up the healing process and gets them pretty clean. unfortunately at first i did tend to bump my right wrist a lot and that side has taken longer to heal. all in all you just have to be smart about keeping them clean and try not to bump them hard. i by no means regret getting them done and get a lot of compliments on them, they are a tricky piercing but when healed look really good!

Re: About the size and stretching of a Prince Albert curved barbell

I got my PA with a 2mm CBR 19mm diameter. Stretched it myself after 4 week (some say better stretch during healing) to 3 mm CBR again 19mm. I have a 3.2 mm 20mm dia. waiting but also ordered a 4mm 22mm dia. with the appropriate stretching tool. I found 19mm dia. to be a bit tight when erect You can stretch PA yourself but when you go up in size opining plyers may be needed.

Re: Ashes in tattoo ink?

Hey people. I just lost my beloved dog on Saturday. My intial plan was to do a scarifaction on myself then to rub her ashes into the wound so that when it heals they would be visable though the skin. Having had and done scars on myself and other before I thought this is the perfect thing for me. After reading up about it I found out it was called packing and is commonly done with clay or cigar ash. The only downside to this is that it forms extremley large keiloids as the body is trying to push the foreign object out as its an open wound which is something I'm familar with and can say don't look nice. I am gonna opt for the tattoo option cos I think I'll be happier with the end result more. I'm planning on doing this on either Tuesday or Wednesday next week so I'll post back once it's done.

Re: Cheek piercings gone wrong!

Its most likely best you take out the piercings that have devolped hard, painless bumps. You could always re do it, and maybe at a diffrent angle. I had my cheek piercings for two years, and I am a body piercer. The left, which was straight in-and-out healed perfectly. The right, was pierced at a slight angle, and developed the bump. It made sense that my body was coating the piercing with scar tissue in order to buffer whatever muscle contraction it was interfering with. I lived with the bump for a year. It made the piercing very sensitive and would get infections, and never feel fully healed. When I finally removed the piercings, I was left with deep pits as scars. I recommend lots of moisturizer in the days following the holes closing. These scars will slightly go away with time, but I'm not counting on them disopearing all together. after a day I realized the right piercing scar with the bump still had a bump, and was not sealing like the other. It almost looked like the eye of a potato with a tiny bit of the lump sticking out. I took a 2mm biopsy punch and removed it. I don't recommend this to anyone who is not a professional. This removed half the scar tissue in my cheek and helped the hole heal nicely. I can still feel half the lump with my tongue on the inside of my mouth. Nothing you can see on the outside. I miss them sometimes, but its better than a hard lump of scar inside my cheek. After two years it got old anyway.

Re: Used tattoo gear

If the gear is professional I'd say yes. I became a tattooist almost the same way. And there is no problem if the machine is used, there are a lot of ways to clean it, which you have to do before and after every tattoo.

Re: Wrist Piercing???

I had both my wrists done, and after they both grew out, I got them done again. My piercer informed me that they would reject quickly, but made no attempt to talk me out of it. I loved the placement and how they looked (even when they were rejecting), so it is worth it to me to now have matching two inch surface scars across my wrists. Some beautiful piercings come with harsh consequences.

Re: Point of no return?

well, what i have researched is that typically around a 0G-00G is where you are in danger of reaching the Point Of No Return, however there are always the "exceptions" who have gone back down to normal from 1" or so, and some people who could only go back to a 4G or 6G after only being at a 0G. just look at the size and shape of your ears. tug on them a little. are they small, sort of tight? are they stretchy? i would say that if you are having an easy time stretching your ears, then they have a better chance of going back to normal in the future. but if stretching is becoming a painful process as you go to bigger sizes, and you feel like you're "stretching them beyond their capacity", then you might have a little trouble going back down.

Re: Deep hood vs Triangle?

Hi Girls, the difference in the two piercings apart from the placing, would be where your more sensitive basically! my ex preferred stimulation nearer her pubic bone on the shaft of her clit and so the deep hood piercing would be a better idea for her as thats where her nerve endings are. nothing else to it really... you just need to know your own body to determine which one to go for.
